Nice. Have watched 29/44 = 66% of these.

I'm disappointed though: No Kurosawa? No Kubrick? No Godard (unless you count Breathless)? no Hitchcock? (I won't even start on Bergman) And you're seriously putting Manhattan over Annie Hall?!!

High five from the Last Metro, though. Oh, and isn't Trintignant gorgeous?

Kurosawa, Kubrick - sheepishly have to admit that I have never done justice to either. never spent quality time with any film of theirs. many a times, otherwise interesting/intelligent company can make film appreciation impossible.

Godard - my goodness, search me?!(this I suppose is the lamest excuse)

Hitchcock - the wrong genre for me, I think. honestly, none came to mind, when I made the list.

Allen - not exactly. watched both so long back (and almost back-to-back), I am not sure, I don't think I can tell them apart. besides, its woody allen, I am allowed this kind of neurotic and weird behaviour. :)

Bergman - ah, the follies of youth! I always felt so unprepared for his movies. Like I had not lived enough, experienced enough, to appreciate them. Until I could not resist and recently watched my first - Scenes from a Marriage. Nothing stopping me now.

Trintignant is so, so gorgeous! I am so seduced, I could give up colors for him. Can live in a old faded b&w film reel, just to be with him. :)

BM: Oh, also, am assuming you've seen Truffaut's The Bride wore Black. Would have thought you would have enjoyed it , given the Black Mamba connection.

head hung low (really low). no, I haven't watched it. but its always nice to find out about movies I need to watch - a Truffaut, I haven't watched - even better. thanks!

45% actually. Much better than I thought I would. If I had spent more time picking up movies at the CLP instead of having imaginary conversations with that dinosaur, might have done better :)

:( I've only seen 16/44. Good list though!

veena: Yes, but talking to the dino got you an ex, watching movies probably wouldn't have..

shoe: nice. would like to see you list too. :)
